Our Client's Bill of Rights

Our patients (and their owners) have a right to:

  • Expert medical care designed to promote well-being and long life
  • Prompt, courteous service from an experienced staff
  • A nurturing and non-threatening environment where there are no "stupid" questions
  • Only relevant and necessary tests and procedures to evaluate a condition or problem
  • Up-to-date technology and medical knowledge and referrals to specialists if necessary

Whom Do You Trust?
Of course you want the best care available for your pet. But how do you tell the great clinics from all the rest when they all look the same on the surface? One sign of a good veterinarian is full service, with broad capabilities like these:

  • Thorough examinations
  • Vaccinations
  • Spaying and neutering
  • Surgical capabilities
  • Dental care
  • Toenail clipping

Now It Gets Interesting.
Broadlands Veterinary Clinic offers all those services and a lot more. Like X-rays, EKG, complete lab work, isoflurane anesthesia, laser surgery, ultrasonic teeth cleaning, and a state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring system.  You see, these are resources which "shot clinics" have no use for, but your pet might someday.

What About Your Needs?
Another sign of great veterinary care is sensitivity to your deepest concerns for your pet, such as complications from anesthesia during surgery. We offer pre-operative bloodwork and use heart and blood pressure monitoring equipment during anesthesia, thus reducing the risk of complications.

If your pet does need surgery, Broadlands provides laser surgery. The advantages of laser surgery are little or no bleeding, less pain, and faster recovery time. Laser is used in spaying and neutering, cancer surgery, wart removal, eyelid tumors, gum surgery, and declawing cats---because when your pet doesn't suffer, you don't either.

All of the technicians at Broadlands Veterinary Clinic are Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs).  These staff members attended school and passed rigorous exams to become the highly trained staff that they are.  You can rest easy knowing that your pet is in their care.

Finally, are you tired of not seeing the same veterinarian every visit or feeling as if your appointment was rushed?  At Broadlands Veterinary Clinic, you will see Dr. Perkin all the time, every time, for a full half hour for sick animals.

Here's How To Spot The Really Great Veterinarians.
There's a limit to what a veterinarian can do, but great ones will find ways to exceed their own limitations. One sign of a really great veterinarian is their willingness to refer patients to specialists or call them in if needed.  Dr. Perkin will not hesitate to refer you and your pet to a specialist if she feels that that is what is best for you and your pet.  She also has access to board certified radiologists and surgeons that will come to the clinic to perform ultrasounds or specialized surgeries.

Money Is No Object
Not when you offer Care Credit, a credit card for your pet's medical needs. VPI pet insurance is also offered.  Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express,  and good old cash are accepted. Senior citizens get 10% off all services.

With 8:30 am drop-offs and 6:30 pm pick-ups, and flexible appointment times, seeing to your pet's health care needs gets ridiculously easy, and that’s as it should be. Now you know what your pet will understand the moment he sets his paws on our shiny clean floor: that his care is our concern.
